Settling seamlessly into the residential fabric of Victoria Parade, the architecture pays homage to Manly’s rich coastal heritage through a sophisticated sculpted form and enduring palette of materials. Expansive glazing frames panoramic views of the ocean and harbour, turning them into artistic backdrops while inviting an abundance of natural light into the interior spaces. Embraced by lush landscaping, the architecture fosters a strong connection to nature, integrating elegantly into Victoria Parade’s tree-lined streetscape. Tranquil, exclusive and refined, De Ville offers a coastal address defined by innovation, craftsmanship and a remarkable sense of place.

The design is strongly influenced by the tides, as the street is framed by both harbour and ocean. We drew inspiration from the ebb and flow of water and the shifting patterns left on the sand. These natural rhythms informed a fluid architectural language that feels deeply connected to its coastal setting.
Victoria Parade’s interwar brick buildings inspired the materiality, anchoring the design in context while introducing contemporary, organic forms. Soft tones, natural materials and generous outdoor spaces reflect the coastal environment, encouraging seamless transitions between indoor and outdoor living while ensuring the architecture integrates harmoniously with the streetscape.
Located in the heart of Manly, the design carefully balances openness and privacy. Lower levels feature generous courtyards for entertaining and sun, while upper floors capture panoramic views and sea breezes. Full-floor apartments on levels four to six maximise light and outlook, while thoughtful planning and façade treatments preserve privacy from neighbouring buildings.
The palette reflects the textures and tones of Manly’s shores. Lohas brick provides durability, permanence and a refined warmth, ensuring longevity and low maintenance. Its contrast with the neighbouring heritage building allows the older structure to shine while bringing a contemporary edge. Combined with timeless detailing, this approach creates architecture that feels enduring and sustainable.
The intricate brickwork is a standout, transforming a simple material into crafted detail. Interiors are another highlight, shaped through close collaboration with the client. Marble selections throughout bring elegance and a sense of luxury, creating homes that feel sophisticated yet deeply connected to their coastal context.
Residents will experience a deep connection to Manly’s relaxed coastal lifestyle. With its boutique scale and refined detailing, De Ville offers an intimate yet sophisticated living environment. The design blends beachside tranquillity with contemporary comfort, creating spaces that feel private, harmonious and distinctly rooted in their vibrant surroundings. It is a home that feels instantly welcoming.

The sculpted facade flows in gentle curves, its sandy render and vertical brickwork catching the shifting coastal light. Glass balustrades trace the form, opening interiors to expansive views and generously sized balconies as cascading greenery softens each level. A harmonious interplay of material, texture and contour defines De Ville’s distinctive architectural presence, fostering a deep connection to its coastal landscape.

In constant conversation with the architecture, De Ville’s exceptionally curated interiors are refined, light-filled and thoughtfully composed. Expansive glazing frames sweeping views, drawing the horizon into the living spaces and becoming an integral feature of the home.
